What you'll be doing

As the Leader of Security Services, you will leverage your experience to:

  • Continue to build and lead a global team of security researchers focused on blockchain systems including languages, compilers, smart contracts, protocols, and applications.

  • Participate in pre-sales activity to understand client pain points and describe potential solutions.

  • Oversee proposal development and quality assurance.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients throughout the audit delivery process.

  • Engage in selection of internal tools, products, and services to improve capability to deliver these services in the most effective manner.

  • Oversee the delivery of security services both to internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Proven ability to manage consulting organizations to metrics; to include utilization, profitability, revenue and customer satisfaction KPIs.

Goals for the Security Services Lead include

  • Manage, recruit, and develop a high performing consulting team in a fast and continuously changing environment.

  • Enable a team of security researchers to engage with multiple high profile projects in discovering and addressing blockchain and smart contract security problems

  • Work with CTO and the Head of Research to oversee cutting edge blockchain and smart contract security research.

  • Support a geographically distributed team of security researchers.

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to attain revenue targets, profitability, and utilization goals.

  • Maintain and improve OpenZeppelin customer relationships and customer satisfaction metrics.

You have

  • 7+ years of work experience in infrastructure or security consulting, including 3+ years of proven hands-on management experience of consulting teams.

  • Proven experience building productive relationships with customers and partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience recruiting and managing geographically distributed security consulting teams.

  • Demonstrated experience for solving complex, systemic issues that require creative thinking and solutions.

  • Ability to work and adapt in a changing and technical industry and work environment.

  • A startup mentality with a bias to action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience working remotely. Strong personal organizational skills and a love for self-time management.

  • Deep understanding of security threats and how they apply to smart contracts and cryptocurrencies in general.

  • Passion for blockchain and decentralized technologies. Desire to contribute to the growth of an open economy. Interest in cybersecurity is a big plus.

Nice to have

  • Fintech industry experience.

  • Experience with smart contracts and thorough understanding of the Ethereum implementation (including its ABI and EVM).

  • Experience with reverse engineering technologies and techniques.

  • Understanding and hands-on experience at the blockchain/daemon/protocol level with any smart contract enabled cryptocurrency.

  • Familiarity with the Ethereum protocol layer, advancements with upcoming EIPs and Eth 2.0.

  • Familiarity with security implications of the Solidity language, EVM bytecode, and common smart contract exploits.

  • Experience with cryptocurrencies and other services and building the tools required to extract information from the blockchains.
